WHAT WE WORK ON TOGETHER

The same depth of work, close to home

My Garden Grove clients come for the same reasons people drive across town for a good therapist — and most find the drive is shorter than they expected.

Individual therapy for high achievers

Perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, and the hollow feeling that can sit under external success. We go beneath coping skills to the patterns underneath.

Couples therapy

For Garden Grove couples stuck in the same fight — or drifting into silence. Attachment-oriented work that looks at family history, culture, and what each of you learned about love.

Premarital counseling (Prepare-Enrich)

Structured premarital sessions for engaged Garden Grove couples who want to start marriage with honest conversations about money, family, and conflict.

An Asian American lens that fits

As a second-generation Asian American psychologist, I understand family duty, immigrant expectations, and the pressure to look fine. That understanding is a resource — not the whole story.

FROM YOUR SIDE OF TOWN

What getting here looks like

The office is at 5242 Katella, Suite 202 — west of the Garden Grove (22) freeway, one straight run along Katella from most of Garden Grove. From downtown Garden Grove the drive is roughly fifteen minutes, and parking is free in the lot out front. For clients who prefer not to drive, sessions are also available virtually on select days.

Many Garden Grove clients live in neighborhoods like West Grove or work near the Main Street corridor and Disneyland resort area — service industry schedules, family businesses, and multigenerational households where expectations run deep. The high-achiever, couples, and cultural-expectations work I do fits that reality: accomplished people quietly carrying more than their share.

A NOTE ON GARDEN GROVE

The city that raised everyone else

Garden Grove runs on service — the resorts next door, the hospitals, the family restaurants that have been open for decades. Work like that teaches you to read a room and manage everyone in it. It also teaches you to skip your own signal until your body sends it for you. Therapy here is where you stop performing fine and start figuring out what you actually want.

And for many second-generation clients here, the family story is the room the therapy happens in — what the move was for, what you owe, and who you're allowed to be. That's not a footnote in my work. It's the work.
