THERAPY NEAR WESTMINSTER

Therapy for Westminster, CA

Minutes up the street — or virtual from home

My office on Katella Avenue in Los Alamitos is a short drive from most of Westminster, and the culture here — family, food, and the quiet pressure to make the sacrifice worth it — is one I understand firsthand.

WHAT WE WORK ON TOGETHER

The same depth of work, close to home

My Westminster clients come for the same reasons people drive across town for a good therapist — and most find the drive is shorter than they expected.

Individual therapy for high achievers

Perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, and the hollow feeling that can sit under external success. We go beneath coping skills to the patterns underneath.

Couples therapy

For Westminster couples stuck in the same fight — or drifting into silence. Attachment-oriented work that looks at family history, culture, and what each of you learned about love.

Premarital counseling (Prepare-Enrich)

Structured premarital sessions for engaged Westminster couples who want to start marriage with honest conversations about money, family, and conflict.

An Asian American lens that fits

As a second-generation Asian American psychologist, I understand family duty, immigrant expectations, and the pressure to look fine. That understanding is a resource — not the whole story.

FROM YOUR SIDE OF TOWN

What getting here looks like

The office is at 5242 Katella, Suite 202 — just north of Westminster along the Katella corridor, minutes from the Little Saigon heart of the city. From most Westminster neighborhoods the drive is ten to fifteen minutes, and parking is free in the lot out front. For clients who prefer not to drive, sessions are also available virtually on select days.

Many Westminster clients grew up between two worlds — the family that came here for a better life, and the versions of success that family imagined. Whether you're in Little Saigon's orbit or raising kids near the schools off Bolsa, the work I do — high-achiever burnout, couples drift, immigrant-family expectations — speaks that language fluently.

A NOTE ON WESTMINSTER

Living between two sets of expectations

Westminster is home to one of the largest Vietnamese American communities in the country, and the pull between family duty and your own life is something I know personally, not just clinically. The pressure to make the sacrifice worth it — to be successful in the exact shape your family imagined — is a specific kind of weight. You don't have to explain it here. You can just put it down.

Whether the people-pleasing started at home, at school, or at work, we look at the pattern underneath it — and what it would mean to choose from your own values for once.
